Kim Rubenstein

Kim Rubenstein is an honorary Professor at the ANU College of Law, at the Australian National University. She is the inaugural convenor of the ANU Gender Institute and  is a Fellow of both the Australian Academy of Law and the Australian Academy of Social Sciences. Kim is renowned for her expertise in citizenship law, contributing significantly through her book, scholarly articles, and book chapters. She has served as a consultant for the Commonwealth in the redrafting of Australian citizenship legislation, influencing the 2007 Act, and reviewed the Australian Citizenship Test in 2008. An ANU Public Policy Fellow since 2012, Kim was recognized in the Westpac '100 Women of Influence' awards and received the Edna Ryan award for her contributions in public policy. Her research emphasizes active citizenship, demonstrated through projects like the oral history Linkage Project and the ARC Discovery Project on The Court as Archive.
