Bonnie McConnell
Bonnie McConnell is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Music at the Australian National University. Her research examines music in relation to issues of health, wellbeing, and social change in Africa (Gambia, South Africa) and Australia. Her interest in migration studies centres on the role of music in migrant and diaspora communities in Australia. She is currently leading the CHIME Australia project, which explores the way music (particularly group singing) can support maternal mental health for migrant and refugee women.
