Nicolas Villarroel
Nicolas Villarroel recently completed his PhD in the Interdisciplinary Cross Cultural Research Program within the ANU Research School of Humanities and the Art. His PhD explored how emotions shape the memory of Pinochet's dictatorship (1973-1990) among Chilean exiles in Australia. This research has involved exploring qualitative approaches to the study of affective practices in discourse analysis, as well as the different generational positions that differentiate the memories, heritage and identity among Chilean exiles.
