Naomi Atkins
Naomi Atkins is a PhD candidate in the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs at the Australian National University. Her research explores security politics in anti-human trafficking across Vietnam, Malaysia, and Australia. With an Honors BA from the University of Canberra, her work involves fieldwork and fellowships in Southeast Asia, addressing the contextual construction of security and trafficking discourses. This work aims to inform anti-trafficking and security frameworks conceptually and operationally, fostering normative discussions on responsibility and ethics in security and international relations. Awarded the University Medal from the University of Canberra, Naomi's interests include critical security, feminist international relations, and migration in the Southeast Asia-Australia region.
