Mitra Jahandideh is a PhD candidate in Ethnomusicology at the Australian National University. Her PhD project explores how the study of khele, a traditional call related to the Talesh people of Iran, enhances our knowledge of the part played by traditional calls in culture, memory, and everyday life.
