Associate Professor
Duncan Wright is an Associate Professor in the School of Archaeology and Anthropology at the Australian National University. He collaborates extensively with First Nation communities on archaeological projects. Funded by the ARC, his work has traced the wandering pathways of Culture Heroes across Torres Strait, assessed initiation grounds in Mabuiag and Murray Islands, and examined fire-damaged heritage sites in the Blue Mountains. Duncan also investigates the arrival of Homo Sapiens in Europe and Neanderthal replacement in Czech Republic and Slovakia through cave excavations.
