Akka Rimon

Akka Rimon is a PhD candidate in the School of Regulation and Global Governance at ANU, focusing on labour migration as an economic response to climate-induced displacement in the Pacific, particularly from Kiribati. She is a recipient of the Australia-Pacific Security College (APSC) PhD Scholarship. Before starting her PhD in 2022, she worked for 13 years in the Government of Kiribati, holding senior administrative positions, including Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Immigration. In 2016 she joined the World Bank.
